1. Somebody sent me a 1/2 page of A4 'survey', apparently with no cost or obligation they'll send me some (not very good) binoculars and samples of 6 wines. Hey, why not.

2. Sky, in a desperate bid to move us from FreeSat to a subscription, are giving us the Sky World package free for February. Excellent. BTW - Can anybody comment on Sky broadband? Is 40G/month enough? We don't download much at all, but how much bandwidth does Skype burn?

Sudoku
I finally finished the killer from Saturday's Graun. I now have a back-of-an-old-envelope shortage, though.

Dream
When L was nudging me to say "turn over you're snoring", I was dreaming that I had a document on which a box was ticked to show I was involved in an activity that precluded the possibility of snoring.

Indestructibles
Saw this by chance on BBC?3?4? last night. I had never expected the BBC to show me a live comparative of the effects of 5g of caffeine vs. .5g of salvia, but they did. Also it seems water ski-ing is quite hard after a pint of vodka. No shit, Sherlock.

Wine
There's ANOTHER case of the stuff down at the porter's lodge! Think I'd better give them a bottle.
Edit TWO cases. Has L gone crackers or has the STWC messed up?

Key
Can't find it. Damn. Since admin's spare doesn't work, I have to wait until Monday when they can clone Rob's. Oh well, I have access to a master first thing, and my office is behind a security door.

spillchucker
When did LJ start redlining words it doesn't recognise?

Stopped off at L's work to pick up a case of wine that had gone to her office instead of mine on Friday.
Got to work and didn't have my key. Substitute from admin didn't work. Back to admin for a master.
Just about to settle into clearing the mailing list spam backlog when got interrupted to look at a possible virus, on a drive the user only had read access to, so nothing much we could do about it.
Got back to my desk and the porters rang to say there was a case of wine for me...
But there were two, so instead of carrying them to my offcie, off to the carpark for the car, zoom round the block, grab the wine, round the block to the carpark again, had to go up an extra 3 levels to find a space.
Back to my desk, phone rings, can I look at an Excel problem?
Hang on, didn't I stop doing Excel support 14 months ago?
Ah well, I might get to do some work this afternoon...
