To solve connectivity problems between my workstation and the section's database, I may have to 'upgrade' from Win2000 to WinXP.

Actually Wystan tried from another 2k box and it worked - so it's someting to do with my paertic machine, or my authentication.

Windows XP can be made to look like Windows 2000 using the classic option, retaining the best features of both. 's what I did with my laptop.
