Soem of you may have noticed that I occasionally mention a movie called California Split (Altman)
Last night I discovered it's finally been released on DVD - but only in NTSC on a Region1 disc.
Columbia Tristar's UK site doesn't know anything about it. And sucks anyway.
Ah well.

Try Amazon (or eBay). I just bought One Crazy Summer from a Marketplace seller in Florida, quick delivery and only 7.50 including postage.

It's currently only available on region 1 and our DVD player doesn't play R1.

Wot no region hack? Most of them can be done...

Probably could hack, but I dunno if it can handle NTSC.
Might read the manual one day...

Multi region, NTSC compliant DVD players are less than 50 quid these days. I'm just awaiting delivery on one that will play DivX as well as CDRom, DVD RW, avi, mp3 etc so I can watch all the stuff I've found on the interweb thingy. All for 59 quid.

Yeah, but we've already got a DVD player!

I've already got 2. If Ma ever gets a suitable telly, she can have one of them. The other will pobably end up next door if I ever get the doorway sorted.
