Maybe somebody with a much larger Friends list than me, and the ability to do polls, might like to gather some stats?

Like, I know there are a lot of people about who have done RPGs, and quite a few who know some RPG terminology even though they haven't played, but just how widely understood is this stuff in the general population?

To me, an RPG is a rocket-propelled grenade. Like most science fiction, most manga, veganism, furries, drum'n'bass and "Sex And The City", RPGs are the kind of epiphenomenon that I do not get the point of. So you might as well be quoting Fermat's Last Theorem in Church Slavonic for all the sense it makes here.
