We're having the bathroom done.
Got the plumber booked for the 9th.
Went round looking at suites. Didn't rush. Finally ordered one. Delivery 6th - last working day before the plumber arrives.
A bit too close for comfort, that one.
Better sort some tiles and a shower curtain, too.

I hate in-bath showers.

The new shower will have a similar head (might use the one we have now, actually) and the same pump, so the actual delivery of wetness won't change, and it'll be easier to clean and we'll have more space in the bathroom and we'll be able to use the showerhead to hose Jack down in the bath and L can do her hair hung over the bath edge and all kinds of other stuff.

Mind you, most shower cabinets are too small as well.

But the thermostatic valve is worth every penny!

That's the plan, anyway

Where did you end up getting your suite from? Mind you, I only want a bath and a loo, since I want an Ikea basin...

Would've been cheaper if we'd liked the taps that come in the package deal, but as it was we've had to buy all the porcelain/glassfibre parts of the whole suite and then the taps and stuff separately.
If you want to see a decent range, ask a builder/plumber where to look - about the biggest range in Manc is a place called Atlas (iirc), but you wouldn't know about it unless somebody told you.
Oh, MFI have a small range too, I think they only do compleat packages but if they have one you like they're even cheaper than B&Q.

We currently have a bathroom thats about 1500 square, a separate loo which is 1000 x 600 (will turn into a cupboard) and a cupboard with a chimney in the back. The space is too small to preserve the separate loo, IMO. In 6 months I won't be able to close the door when I use it!

Of course, when I win the lottery I shall have a BFO house with en suite walk in wet-room.
