Post 3 things you've done in your lifetime that you don't think anybody else on your friends list has done.
See if anybody else responds with "I've done that."
Ask your friends do this in their journals to see what unique things they've done.

1. Been knocked off a motorbike by a police car

2. Taken 5 times the maximum daily dose of diphenhydramine in one go (great hallucinations, but you feel SO awful the whole next day and God knows what damage it does to you, Just Say No)

3. Owned a pinball machine (wonder if the ex will ever let me have it back? [command me to take it away, more like])

At least one of the LJ/shed folk has a slot machine, but it's not pinball.

Being knocked off a bike by a police car is stylish. I hope the driver apologised.

I was too busy saying "my leg hurts" to notice. He did get taken off cars, later, after the local magistrates did him for it.

I'm very glad to hear it. He may be police and he may have been in a hurry, but those things don't excuse not paying attention. I'd have thought that their driver training would include things like being aware of other road users, even during high speed stuff.

You seem to have recovered though, which is the main thing.

He wasn't in a hurry. He did a u-turn from a position where he couldn't see me coming. I was doing about 35 (throttle shut as approaching the limit sign at the edge of town), he would have been doing less than 10.

Ah, what's known as a pinball wizard in this house. Deaf, blind - and very, very dumb.

Not a Bally or a Williams, a Zaccaria (Italian) one, but OK.
Ten Stars it was called (Tensed Arse we called it)
Very simple layout - 3 top entries, 3 thumpers, 4 drop targets, 3 other targets.

Ah.'II was an unofficial Blue on the Addams Family one, or so he used to say when he was racking up scores at the local burger joint in our studenty days. I'd get him one for his 40th birthday if i could!

They are available, but they ain't cheap, even second hand.
Mine was cheap coz it was a no-name and about 6th hand and a bit knackered.

I'm going for the esoteric yet smug attack here:

Borrowed Steve Stapleton's trumpet - pic of me here.

Been given a copy of Schwartz by Conrad Schnitzler. Limited edition of 100 released in 1968.

Hacked a MicroFocus COBOL runtime system to use a different version of Oracle than it was built with (because it was nearly Y2K and the fucking morons that the Oracle DBA function had been outsourced to had not only uninstalled the required version, but had lost the installation tape).

Oh - and I also know what MADI-RAM means.

Go on then:

1. Anything to do with Thai boxing or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (anyone else got a couple of fight pictures of themselves among their user icons?)

2. Had the director of customer services at BT phone me personally to apologize for crap service

3. Flown a plane over Loch Ness

What is it? Internet pinball database may be useful - ipdb.org
New or used?

The teenage sons of friends of ours came home with a pinball machine and a proper pub pool table one day (about 35 years ago). The pb table went into the boys' bedroom in the attic and the pool table went in the cellar, cos it was too big & heavy to get up to the attic. Their ma was mortified, but their house became a popular meeting place for all their mates.

The pinball went into the attic? They weigh about 100kg!!!
Or... they did when the logic and counters were all electromech. Nowadays that's all electronic
