All the pics I ever uploaded are _each_ in a little gallery all of their own.
How do I get them into some sort of sensible arrangement, then?

I wish I knew how to do that too. Mine are in several small galleries, and I can find no way of rationalising them into fewer galleries, as there is no apparent way of moving images between galleries. The 'select a gallery' function when uploading images seems to be borked too - it just hangs instead of actually doing the selection.

Select the galleries, and on the bottom right is "Delete Selected", one of the options being to delete the selected galleries but keep the pictures.

If you look at the "Unsorted" gallery, you can select pictures and move them to a new gallery.

Thanks. I'll give that a try too, when next I upload anything, or otherwise get tuits.

Easiest way is to enter a gallery as you upload each one rather than trying to sort it out afterwards (though to be honest the creation of many separate FB_in galleries looks like a bug to me albeit one that's been there a long time — try a support request and see what they say?).

However, if you create galleries for them to go into and then go to

http://pics.livejournal.com/manage/pic?id=1

you should be able to select the correct gallery from the "Add to" dropdown, untick the existing FB_in gallery, press "Save Changes" and then all you have to do is repeat that for the other 72 images by incrementing the "id=" number at the end of the URL and Bob's your uncle.
