You reckon your dad has Hot Rats?
Any chance he has Jefferson Airplane's "Sunfighter"?
HMV want 21 quid for it, and Virgin don't even list it...

OR, does anybody know a sensibly-priced source for it?

Oooh, ought to check Itunes (or is it iTunes?)

iTunes don't have it - they do have Baron Von Tollbooth And The Chrome Nun, though... $9.90, hmmmm.

can't help here... got Bark, and Crown of Creation, and Blows Against The Empire, and even Long John Silver, but not Sunfighter.
Might be worth checking with [livejournal.com profile] unclechristo, he's very big on Jefferson Airplane.

What's the tracklist for Blows? I may be forgetting which album it is I'm most desperate to hear... I especially want "When I Was A Boy I Watched the Wolves" (no, not Wolverhampton Wanderers)

"When I Was A Boy I Watched The Wolves" was on Sunfighter. Track listing on my copy of "Blows" is as follows;

Side 1: Mau Mau (Amerikon)/Baby Tree/Let's Go Together/Child Is Coming/Sunrise
Side 2: Hijack/Home/Have You Seen the Stars Tonite/XM/Starship

Still can't work out why Kantner put this out as "Jefferson Starship"... a good five years before they started using that name and churning out crap AOR.

He definitely has Hot Rats, dunno about "Sunfighter" ... I was going to check his music database but his machine is refusing connections. Bugger. Will ask him tomorrow.

Have you tried Gemm? Meta-search kind of thingy and hence a bit USA-biased, but they do have everything. At all kinds of weird and wonderful prices.

Amazon claim to have it, at a reasonably sensible price.
I'll go mad and get Sunfighter, Baron Von Toolbooth, and Surrealistic Pillow and qualify for the free postage, and it won't be too bad.
