Do you ever find yourself reaching for 6th gear, then remembering your car doesn't have one?

I've not so far driven a 6-gear car.

I wonder whether drivers of 6-gear cars look for 7th? (and so ad infinitum, if some designer fits an engine with a power band like a hairpin, and a 7-speed box to play tunes on...).
