Fix!

Finally occurred to me to run HijackThis to try to resolve my problem with IE crashign every time it tries to load a page.
Just took out everything I thought I could manage without, even though all of it was theoretically kosher.
And now IE is OK again.
I wonder what it was that was upsetting it?

well yes. i use Firefox for my everyday stuff, but there're one or two things I can't get away from that require IE. And the fact it kept crashing was a worry, it's not supposed to.
