Stopped off at L's work to pick up a case of wine that had gone to her office instead of mine on Friday.
Got to work and didn't have my key. Substitute from admin didn't work. Back to admin for a master.
Just about to settle into clearing the mailing list spam backlog when got interrupted to look at a possible virus, on a drive the user only had read access to, so nothing much we could do about it.
Got back to my desk and the porters rang to say there was a case of wine for me...
But there were two, so instead of carrying them to my offcie, off to the carpark for the car, zoom round the block, grab the wine, round the block to the carpark again, had to go up an extra 3 levels to find a space.
Back to my desk, phone rings, can I look at an Excel problem?
Hang on, didn't I stop doing Excel support 14 months ago?
Ah well, I might get to do some work this afternoon...

Teh Graun 'hard' wasn't, again
The killer, though, stumped me. I got 5 numbers in and then couldn't find my way forward, and eventually gave up in favour of having a life.
For the Futoshiki, after getting a few numbers in, I had to write in all the possibilities and eliminate from that: there has to be a logical inference available that would avoid this kind of thing, but I haven't yet worked out what it is.
The Indy hex is reasonably straightforward, but I managed to cock it up twice so can't be arsed to have another go - the prize isn't anything we want anyway.

Anglesey circuit (Ynys Mon) is being extended!
All I have is a tiny aerial pic, so it's a little hard to tell exactly what they're going to do, but it looks like they're puttign in a new section so that instead of sweeping right at the end of the start straight, you turn left, back round to where the paddock was then hairpin around and return to rejoin the old circuit. There's something going on up at the top of the track, maybe they're moving the paddock up there, since there's no room near where it used to be. But they couldn't have the start line up there, surely...
Anybody know?
I've always enjoyed Anglesey on the few occasions I've felt like driving all the way there from Manc to see some motorsport. It was tiny, with almost no facilities, but somehow a great atmosphere - partly, perhaps, because of the class of car you get at such small tracks - Legends, Caterhams, 2CV enduro races, etc. Let's hope the changes don't spoil it.
Must get down there next year. L's outlaws want to see The Boy sometime, preferably while he's still small enough to be cute, and we can combine a visit to them into the trip.
