Lidl had a deal on a wooden train set, including an electric loco. So we got it.

The tracks fixings are compatible, but they're subtly different gauges - the new stuff is about 3mm wider, and the rolling stock matches so is a tight fit on the old track and the loco tends to come off on points and transitions.

I foresee a long evening with the minidrill and a cutting tool.

I always have a quick look at the SALE rack in our library when we're in there.
On Saturday, I spotted Don Delillo's "Underworld". Hardback, VGC, 20p. Sold!

I had to bruteforce the futoshiki, sort-of. Must be getting old.
Teh Graun hard wasn't.
Teh killer, I thought I'd stuffed, but retrieved. To get started I had to do 3 start-filling-it-in-until-it-doesn't-work jobbies, which isn't right, really. I expect there was simpler start that I missed.
The Indy's hex has season6 of The Sopranos as a prize, so we got it. I stuffed up my first go at it but just finished it now without any bother. L finished it first so her name can go on the entry.
