While unloading the car last night, heard the phone ringing. Managed to curtail the natural impulse to run up and answer it, as (a) we've been getting those You've Won A Prize calls from Abroad again, and (b) we have an answering machine.
So, played back the message. It was from the local GP's surgery, would I please I make an appointment.
Oh crikey, I think, did the vasectomy not work???
It's only a 1 min walk away so I nipped down.
They tell me he wants to see me to discuss why I haven't been taking my cholesterol medication.

There appears to have been some kind of cock-up.
