We had trouble getting him to go to sleep last night.
It was looking iffy tonight, too, until he said to me "not want light off".
So I left the landing light on and left his door slightly ajar. Straight to sleep.
So, the lad's afraid of the dark. No idea why, suddenly.
We won't go to leaving the light on automatically unless he seems stuck on it, but I recall having a light on until quite late myself - possibly as late as 8, though few of my memories from back then are properly associated with times.
