I don't quite get why he called on the end. Did my all-in /really/ look like a desperation bluff that could be beaten by a pair of 4s?
With the 20/20 hindsight after the showdown, we see he called my pre-flop raise somewhat loosely with a suited one-gapper. OK, I've been tryign to make myself "table captain" and he figures I can't 'have it' ALL the time, and he has the button, why not? But then he calls a grand on the flop with only to 3 to a (bad) flush and a double gutshot for the straight. Why????
The turn leaves him with just a gutshot draw to the ignorant end of the straight, and the flush has gone, so his raise is a bluff, or he misread me as weak - I did bet a bit weak, true. But I still don't get how he read me as weak enough to go all-in on just a pair of 4s at the end.
