I weighed 82.7 this morning. Mildly pleased, but marginally annoyed I won't see 80 by the end of the month. Ah well.

Bowls (crown green, of course): They always seem to be sold as 2lbNoz where N is an even number.
But I weighed one of mine, and one of the pair I just bought off my old mucker M, and they came out at 2lb10 7/8ths oz and 2lb 9 1/8th oz.
What's that all about then?
Also, my bowls measure seems to have seized - it was a fancy auto-retracting metal one, and it doesn't auto-retract anymore. Some WD40 might fix it, but I suspect such things aren't expected to last more than 10 years unused in a damp cellar. Still, I got a nice string one with the pair of bowls from M.
Now all I have to do is summon up the bottle to go over to the green and have a go. It's been a long time since I bowled...
I gave J my old Casdon indoor bowls set. They must weigh all of an ounce each: about 2" diameter.
