Water dripping through the kitchen ceiling

AFAICT, it's just the seal at the end of the bath having given up. A trip to B&Q tonight, then.

Ah, we have to format the disc in VR mode if we want to maintain the aspect ratio...
Maybe. Testing now.

We dumped part1 of The Colour Of Magic to disc t'other day, and it was recorded in 4:3 instead of 16:9. But of course it's actually recorded as M*N pixels and an entry in the .IFO file tells it what aspect ratio to play back as. So I was able to fix it using IFOEdit (or is it called EditIFO?) - at the cost of another disc, of course. Although if we had -RW instead of -R I could've done it on the existing disc. I think.
We'll buy the DVD of tCoM when it comes out anyway, for any extras. I just thought it was about time we used this recorder as more than just a player. If the widescreen test is OK, we have some stuff on the Sky+ box I might dump off while we're asleep. If it's not, I'm slightly stumped.

[EDIT] Nope, still 4:3. And the passed-through signal from the sky box comes out in 4:3 too. Just like it used to with the VCR. It must be something basic, but can I find it in the menus? Can I shpx!
