I nipped out about 11:30 to hunt down a copy of Autoporn^H^H^H^Hsport

Near the junction of Oxford Rd and Booth St a rather dishevelled chap coming the other way suddenly pointed at his head and said:

MI5 innit

I and another fellow heading my way exchanged glances, and strode on.

As we were crossing the M62 last night I looked down at it just as the tiniest brake light wave ever went past: 1 count it 1 car stopped, everybody else managed to just slow down and then speed up again.

But that's not the point. I dunno what the Official Techincal term for brake light waves is, but for some odd reason last night I called it a compression wave.

And then I started wondering how you might convert those waves to sound waves.

Gap between vehicles proportional to wavelength? Close packed traffic and brake light waves would scream, free running mways would give a deep bass hum.
Would the 3 lanes form a harmonious chord? Unlikely...

Would you snapshot the whole Mway and play it like a score?
Or choose a single point and play what passes beneath?
