Further to the WW2 Keynsham bomb stuff, and it turns out there were more than any of my family remembered (Marj's excuse being in hossy with TB from 43), I was asked what medals my dad had.
39-45 star, Africa star, Burma star, and the 39-45 War medal. But this last is odd, because it seems to have the wrong ribbon. Looks like a Territorial Efficiency medal ribbon. Dad was in the RE (as part of the Chindits in Burma). Maybe he did a stint in the Terriers before or after that. Or maybe they ran out of the right ribbons. Odd.
