My Aunty Marj mailed me - she's the youngest of the 3 witchessisters, to say:

I didn't remember too much but I asked Olive and she tells me that yes there were a lot of bombs dropped on Stockwood Vale (probably not 300) and it was believed it was a decoy for somewhere else.
She also thinks a house in High Street was damaged and we both remember that there were two bombs dropped in the park - I can remember seeing the craters myself.
Also the great story of a bomb landed on Frys factory but did not explode.
Dad (your grandfather) was in the Frys fire brigade and told us that they were all standing around the hole looking at this bomb and then realised how stupid that was !!!
Olive has a book "Keynsham in Wartime" by ?? Fitter - she will look it up and also ask her friend Edward Cannock who will probably know more. When she lets me know I will e-mail you again

The compromise agreement has arrived at last. I'd better read it, then make an appointment with a solicitor.

You go through a standard corridor swing door. As you do you see somebody else down the corridor heading your way. What's the maximum distance away they can be before you let the door go instead of holding it open for them? Any difference if they're going your way or going the other way?

Just stumbled across a load of balloons and tableclothes - they're prepping what was the Info Point for a leaving do. Of 2 guys I didn't know were leaving.

It's weird, coz at least a fifth of the staff are going, but nobody knows who they all are, except (I assume) Divisional Support.

You ask about somebody you haven't seen for a while, and find out they're gone. Or you assume somebody's gone, but it turns out it's just that you haven't seen them for a while.

I used to say that by the time I went, there'd be nobody left who actually knew me, but I've slowly discovered there are quite a few of us all leaving at the end of July, so a mass piss-up looks to be on the cards.
