Both

Coloured this year, a small string of each last year.

No. If I saw some I might, but I haven't noticed it about

5. When do you put your decorations up?
1st weekend of Dec this year, to amuse The Lad, normally a bit later.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?
The main roast. L does a good roast. Turkey this year is unusual for us, we like stuff like venison and boar

Hmmm. Sledging?

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
Can't remember. It was 45 years or so ago!

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
No. I know it's traditional in some places.

10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree?
Lights, then let Jack do his worst, then maybe adjust a bit.

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it?
A bit of both.

No

13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
Prolly the Scalextric. But the Dan Dare radio station has stuck in my mind all these long years.

14. What is the most important thing about the Holidays for you?
Being with L & J. Making them happy.

15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert?
Don't really do dessert. Hate trifle, and L hates milk puddings, including blancmange, tsk.
There'll be some icecream at some point, I hope.

Champagne breakfast on Christmas Day.

Star

18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving?
I'm always scared that what I give will be wrong, so it has to be receiving

Driving home for Christmas is always good for a laugh. But then so is I Want An Alien For Christmas

Helicopter (remote control, not real, silly!)

Not really. Sometimes I go on a works lunch.

Just the usual attire.

No.

25. Who do you normally spend Christmas with?
L & J.

I'm new to these.
So... It takes a while to warm up, then there's an initial eruption. Then it has to warm up some more before that lot collapses, and a bit after that it gets going properly.
And then after a while it goes quiescent - I guess it can't lose heat fast enough at the top to create the differential required.
Does it ever do anything exciting after it's got to that point, if you leave it on?
