I have a vague idea there's a gas station somewhere up near Tideswell called Peak Oil, but that's probably just from one of my more fevered dreams.

No, what this is really about is a landmark: last night was the first time I've bought petrol with a pump price over £1 - though I effectively only paid 99.4 thanks to the Morrison's loyalty scheme. And also the first time a fill of my tank came to over £50 (by 3p).

Went to put those last few Sit&goes I played into my Excel spreadsheet. Calendar control wouldn't work.

After much thrashing about, I found I'd at some point uninstalled Access. And the calendar control went with it. WTF?

I wonder why I uninstalled Access? I expect there was a good reason (apart form it being crap, I mean)

I saw a play yonks ago, by Patrick Marber, at an outpost of MMU - so long ago it might still have been the Polytechnic then.
It was very good.
It's about a poker game, which is why I went, but it's really looking at male interpersonal relationships.
Anyway, it's been running somewhere recently, and has now transferred to the West End.
Go and see it if any of the above description appeals.

Oops, after all that I forgot to put the name in!
