I haven't seen so many guitars in one room for a very long time; possibly EVAH.
Music Ground, opposite the BBC on Oxford Rd in Manc.
I went in for a lead, so I can use my GX707 other than through headphones. Glad I didn't go in looking for a guitar, there was just too much choice. They must have had a couple of hundred, easy. And pretty much all different.

brown: worktop (or sink)
yellow: mixer unit
black: retaining thingies
blue/red: feeds
green: isolation valves, if fitted

If you have the isolation valves, a screwdriver is used to close them, and the job's simple.
If you don't, it may be best not to bother. But...
The cold feed, being in the kitchen, should be straight off the main, so closing the main house stopcock should allow you to drain it without messing with the tank. But it may be incorrectly plumbed...
For the hot feed you either need to close the outlet valve on the hot tank or drain the whole thing.
Then undo the (black) retainers, undo the feed fittings, swap over the mixer units, refit everything. Don't forget to put the retainers on the pipes before you fit it, they won't go on afetrwards...

I generally leave plumbing to the professionals though. It's amazing how much damage a leak can do. I'd be prepared to try this particular job, IF I knew all the holes and pipes were in the right place and the right size for the new unit.

Wrenches tighten up onto the nut when you twist them, spanners don't

The basin wrench (aka the tap spanner) being something of an exception to this rule.

At least one website claims the tap spanner and basin wrench are the same thing. This may not be definitive!
