Last night, there being not much on, watched The Golden Child (again). Jolly good fun. And then, instead of going to bed like somebody sensible, watched Face (again). Great movie.

Yesterday, we bought a Fireman Sam DVD. 2 hours long. Jack watched it when we got home. And twice more today. Still, at least it's not the $%^"%^^ed Flopsy Bunnies (bedtime reading for about 2 weeks now, I may have to kill myself)

Talking of Jack, he came around the corner of the sofa at speed yesterday, lost traction, went down, and said:
I fell over and hit my knee hardily
OK maybe you had to be there, but we laughed.

Stew vs Casserole: what's the diff?

We, like everybody else round here, judging from the state of Gordon Riggs' carpark, did some gardening this weekend. I shall ache tomorrow. And having put up a 6" barrier, I can now see that the part of the garden the last raised bed is going onto actually needs a 12" retaining wall at the front. Yes, our garden has a gradient of approx 1 in 4, at that point. And not much less everywhere else. It did cost a fortune to have it terraced, but now it's a garden instead of a jungle-covered mountain. And we have a gate onto the back lane, where Jack can splash in puddles.

Upgrading the firmware in the router seems to have been worthwhile - over 30mins Skyping L's parents tonight, with no drop. No other obvious drops since, either.

The killer sudoku in yesteray's Graun... Either I missed something, or it was a bit unfair. I had to do a lot of "must be one of these N combos, try them all and go on 5 or 6 steps until something doesn't work" stuff.

Haircut tomorrow, I think.
