I have enough Geomag[1] to make 2 icosahedra[2] drons whatever
I have an assortment of colours
Last night I fiddled about splitting the colours evenly between the two, and then trying to find pleasing arrangements for them.
On one, I found you can have 3 orthogonal opposite-ends-of-the-thing pairs of edges, and did that in 3 colours, filling all the gaps with the last colour (I have more red than I have green, blue, or white) It's OK, but it'd rock if I had 5 colours so could lose half the reds and get everything fully paired up. So I may need to return to Toys'r'us[3] soon.
On the other, I had a triangle of each of green, blue, white meeting at one face, with a similar arrangement at the opposite face, and the wiggly equator left over filled with red. That's quite pleasing.
[1] Other magnetic construction sets are available
[2] Other polyhedra are available
[3] Other toyshops are available
