oldbloke at 10:18pm on 28/05/2006mowed the front "lawn" today. had to strim off the worst, then mow it on high, then on standard. and after it's had a chance to think about it, it'll all stand up again and need another go.
we went off to a barbie in Warrington, and while we were out the vcr decided not to tape the Monaco GP. highlights tonight, then. insert swearwords here.
As a test of my broadband as much as owt, I set up a first-to-5-points no-cash backgammon game at Ladbrokes. After 2 games was 4-0 up against some guy, who then claimed his gf needed his machine, but he'd like to play me again sometime coz I'm good. Hmmm. My rating is 1506, his is 1508, you start at 1500, so, like, he doesn't have the experience to know, and I'm not. Or I don't think I am. So rarely played for Real Money I can't tell. Linz seems able to beat me. Jellyfish beats me (but of course it cheats). I lost $1.80 playing about 65 games at a fixed $2/game to get the $25 poker bonus, if I was much good I should've made a profit, surely?
