Well, I've played my 50 qualifying games and got the $25 poker bonus.
They haven't sent me an email to let me know, or put a pop-up on the screen, as some other sites might, but the $25 is there in my poker account.
And I'm only $1.28 down on the backgammon play, so that looks like a profit.
Except...
You can't cash out that $25 bonus until it's been wagered across a poker table FOUR times over! And if you don't get that done within 30 days, they take it back off you! Very tight, Ladbrokes.
Thinks...
$100 of poker bets, that's only 200 big bets at .25/.50, which is about 50ish hands you might play, which would be about 200 to 300 hands you'd have to see dealt, which is at most 6 hours.
I can do that.
And I can play the .25/.50 level without much risk of losing anything at all, and minimal risk of losing the whole $25: well, I can on other sites, and I don't expect the players at Ladbrokes to be any better than the ones at Paradise or PokerRoom.
When I've got that done, I still have some bonus on Paradise I need to finish getting out. Then I might play backgammon 'properly' - with the cube - just to see how bad I am at it. Yesterday a guy with a rather lower rating than mine took me 3 games in a row! But straight after, I whacked a guy with a much higher rating than mine twice. So I don't have much feel for how good I am at that game, but I'm fairly sure I don't totally suck.
