I kept forgetting to mention this, it was Friday evening.
I'd just paid the window cleaner when a noise made me look round.
Coming down the valley, pretty low, was a huge beer bottle shaped balloon.
Two guys in it waving to the astonished populace.
For a moment I thought they'd mis-read the way the air works in the valley and were going to have to do a sustained burn to avoid a crash, but then I realised they were heading for a landing on the cricket ground about a half mile on.
Took some photos but the SIZE of the thing doesn't come over very well, despite various buildings being in shot for scale.

Done:
1. Remove 6way mains block from computer cabinet (struggle with plug in awkward position behind cabinet)
2. Remove 4way mains block from other socket in awkward position behind cabinet
3. Insert 8way mains block into computer cabinet (struggle with plug in awkward position behind cabinet)
4. Insert 6way mains block into other socket in awkward position behind cabinet
5. Untangle all mains leads and insert into new blocks, moving phone from cabinet block to external block.
6. Replace microfilter
7. Remove router from office and install in cabinet (juggle mains plugs positions due to sizes of transformers)
8. Remove house-length ethernet cable from cabinet PC and connect to router
9. Install short ethernet cable between router and cabinet PC
10. Connect house-length ethernet cable to office PC
11. Remove WAP from office
12. Install WAP in cabinet, connect to router
13. Check all computers can see net
To do:
14. Connect new USB hard drive to power supply and PC, as existing one given to us by Hotch for our wedding turned out to have no free space, due to the 130G of MP3s on it!
15. Shelf in cabinet for router and WAP, as power lead too short to reach existing shelf; tidy data cables
16. Serial connection between router and cabinet PC
17. Soak test to see if we still get disconnects from poker sites
