As soon as the CH engineer's van hits the town limits, the damn system starts working again.
Still, he took the details of the offending part, gave loads of tips on how to be sure it is that part if it fails again, and we give it 2 weeks to see if it does before they send a bill.

The part in question is the actuator for the water/both/rads valve. Of course it may be the valve itself getting sticky, but he twiddled it with his wrench and said it felt OK. And so I know how to as well, if it does go off.

it's that time of year again

...when we dig out the xmas compilations Hotch did way back when. Some classic stuff on those CDs.

I especially like The Waitresses' "Christmas Wrapping", The Roches' tracks, "God Rest Ye Merry Gentle Mensch" from the New Century Saxophone Quartet, and of course the Eels' "Everything's Gonna Be Cool This Christmas" (Baby Jesus: born to rock). It also has the only RunDMC track I'll listen to volutarily.
