oldbloke at 03:11pm on 01/12/2005With the changes here, I had a quick go at my shelves. Compiler support will be the group Mike's going to, so I offered him all the compiler manuals I don't want. He didn't want them either, barring the most recent FORTRAN ones and the Matlab stuff. I'm keeping a few I might one day write something in for myself, and the Algol one I learnt from when I started 33 years ago, but the rest is being dumped.
And it occurred to me, never will I have to look at a FORTRAN program ever again.[1]
Huzzah!
[1] Except of course for the few I wrote for myself yonks ago that I might want to rewrite in something else sometime. Like the pools predictor (7% better than random!) and the 4d variboard tictactoe game.
