Tonight we had the annual "who can get up our street in one go" event. This one always gives me a good laugh. As we were nearing home, the snow began to look more interesting, then as we turned into our road, off the bits that get traffic and grit, I began to lose traction, and after correcting a slide and observing that our drive (which is a 1 in 3 ish slope) had 2 inches of snow on it (tempting to say it was more, but I'm trying to be realistic), I just tucked into the kerb and parked. I didn't fancy leaving it there in case some other fool messed up the bend, so I swept two grooves clear on the drive and then put the car away.
For the next 90 minutes we had regular entertainment as a series of vehicles made a variety of errors ascending the hill. There was one van that had several goes... He got quite good at the "3 point turn assisted by the front end sliding" trick.
The morning may be interesting, especially if Martin hasn't moved his car from the bit I'll slide to if I lose it on the drive.
