The ladder won.
I did throw the saw clear of where I was going to hit.
I did throw the chunk of tree clear of where I was going to hit.
I didn't get away from the ladder.
I escaped largely unhurt, but there are going to be some wizzo bruises on my left leg where it was through the rungs, and my neck is unpleasantly stiff already so will be quite annoying tomorrow.
Leylandii - just say no.
